chinese herbal medicine is based on the hypothesis that health is a result of balance between
the positive and negative forces, yin and yang. Diagnosis involves observation of the patients' facial colour and tongue, analysis of symptoms, pulse taking and a detailed history.
A herbal remedy is individually prescribed. Chinese herbs may be taken in a decoction, infusion, tinctures,
tablets or powder form.
